NORMAN, Okla. -- Quarterback Sam Bradford's return to Oklahoma's offense won't come this week.
The Sooners practiced this week with Bradford, who suffered a shoulder joint sprain in a season-opening 14-13 loss to BYU.
"Sam has made daily progress, but we don't feel like he's quite where he needs to be yet," Stoops said in a statement. "Our team has a lot of confidence in Landry's ability and we're looking forward to going into the game with him at quarterback. Our approach will be the same that it has been in the last two games."
Jones, a redshirt freshman, set a school record in his last game when he threw six touchdown passes against Tulsa on Sept. 19. For the season, he is 49 of 81 for 673 yards with nine touchdowns and three interceptions.
Bradford, who won the Heisman Trophy last season, has been sidelined since injuring his shoulder in the Sept. 5 loss to BYU at Arlington, Texas.
