OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK


Jacory Harris University of Miami
Harris completed 20 of 25 passes for 270 yards and three touchdowns, and the 9th-ranked Hurricanes snapped a four-game losing streak against Georgia Tech with a 33-17 victory















Defensive Player of The Week
Rahim Alem LSU

Alem, a defensive end from New Orleans, recorded a career-best seven tackles, a sack and a pass breakup in LSU’s 23-9 win over Vanderbilt. Six of Alem’s seven tackles were solo stops and his sack went for an 11-yard loss and came on a third-down opportunity for the Commodores midway through the fourth quarter with the Tigers leading 16-9

Alem led an LSU defense that held Vanderbilt to just seven points and 210 yards of offense – 122 rushing, 88 passing. Dating back to last year, Alem has now recorded a sack in four of LSU’s last five games.












Special Teams Player of the Week

Leroy Vann FAMU
LeRoy Vann scored on two punt returns for the second straight week and Florida A&M beat Howard 48-10 on lastThursday night.

Vann, who scored on returns of 40 and 66 yards, ran back two punts for touchdowns against Winston-Salem State last week. The senior has returned seven punts for touchdowns during his career, tying a Football Championship Subdivision record set by Northern Iowa's Kenny Shedd between 1989-1992.
